CAPDA provided the project team to support the above requirements through from early design review assurance, with particular focus on the aviation elements, to ISS procurement (with the development of a new availability based strategy – taking lessons learned from similar capabilities, such as the ACV Ocean Protector and ACPB availability contract), through to the formation of Certification and Safety Strategies to support Navy Acceptance with AMSA as the regulator.
The project team managed requirements with regulators and key stakeholders such as Director General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) and Directorate of Naval Platform Systems (DNPS).
CAPDA professionals managed the schedule, certification, safety training and ISS development with initial acquisition procurement support to assist the vessels future acceptance through a Capability Realisation Plan (approx. $100M project) for the Royal Australian Navy.
