AIPM Project Management Awards

The Defence Industry & Innovation Program has been awarded the Project Management Achievement Award (ACT) in the Defence/Aerospace category. The winners were announced at an awards dinner on Friday 1 September 2017.

David Kretschmer, of CAPDA, continues to provide significant leadership role as Program Manager within the Defence Industry Policy Division (Defence Industry & Innovation Program).

The PMAA recognises and promotes outstanding achievements in program and project management. These awards are not about following good project management practices, but adapting and applying them in challenging circumstances.

The PMAA have two levels. The first is chapter level, where winners are selected in each Australian state and territory. Chapter winners are then judged for the national awards which will be announced in Melbourne at the end of October.

This award recognises the enduring efforts of the entire team  last year to establish the CDIC & Defence Innovation Hub.  It was a challenging endeavour to coordinate two agencies to establish these initiatives  to deliver real improvements for Australian Defence and our defence industry.
